Better indication when the Inbox has new tasks

This would be helpful.
I have two 'validation' smart lists that seek out items without time estimates and without tags to ensure nothing slips through like this, but the inbox is a bit of a black hole.
I know there's the What's New summary in the overview, but I often find that those fields don't really seem to update.

In the new UI, it's a lot easier to see that the Inbox has items in it.
