Ability to skip the Overview screen, but still see the news announcements

I keep my overview screen activated even though I don't use it. I click Continue to Tasks and never Always skip this page because I'm afraid that when there's a new RTM "bubble" announcement (like the Pro account offer) that I might miss it.
