Scan barcodes

I'm sorry if this has already been asked, but has there been any thought put into adding functionality to scan a barcode and have the product associated with that barcode added directly to a list? It would be great for grocery lists and trips to the home improvement stores.

I doubt this is something they would implement since they do not consider themselves to be a grocery list app. The number of people that would actually use this on RTM is probably rather small.

There are a lot of good standalone grocery list apps and probably a few of them already do this.
