It would be nice to be able to complete tasks from within the Labs gadget, just like the FF extension.

Hey metellusscipio,
I'm not too sure which feature you're referring to, sorry. :(
When you click on the square with the small arrow on the left of the task name, it should show a drop down with 'Complete' as one of the options.
Is this the feature that you're looking for?

I think what metellusscipio is referring to is the Google Labs feature called Tasks that adds a bare bones task manager to the gmail interface. I used it before switching to RTM, but was disappointed that I could not import any of my tasks from that gadget. So, for the moment I'm hobbling on both.
